Montgomery County officials and partners broke ground on The Chimes at North Bethesda, a planned $86 million development featuring 163 environmentally sustainable rental units, scheduled for completion in 2026. The project, which includes units for households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income, is supported by public and private funding and aims to address the demand for affordable housing in the area. Derwood

Pandas Karate, located in Derwood, has launched a fantastic initiative offering free self-defense seminars for Girl Scout troops in Montgomery County. Owner Daniel Amaguana reports that the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants enthusiastic about the valuable skills they are learning.
