A 13-year-old boy has been charged with two commercial burglaries in Rockville, committed alongside an 11 and 12-year-old, after the trio was caught with stolen property from Superior Auto Service and RMA Transportation in Rockville.

Escape the Bookshop games are always based on a real crime with connections to the DC region. They are designed and built by HouseMouse Books to be played in our atmospheric bookshop. This latest game was inspired by a true local museum theft and the goal is simple – to find the stolen object before the suspect flees the country!

DC Sports

The RFK bill, which would allow DC to take control of federal land (the site of RFK stadium) has successfully passed the committee vote with a score of 17-2– marking an important, but not final milestone. The site remains in play as the Washington Commanders search for a site for their new stadium.

Crime

Melissa Curtis, 32, of Upper Marlboro, was sentenced to 30 years in prison, suspending all but 12 months, and five years of supervised probation after pleading guilty to three counts of third-degree sex offense for abusing a 14-year-old student while teaching at Montgomery Village Middle School in 2015.
