The communities of Kentlands and Lakelands are once again preparing to host their most anticipated annual event: the 32nd Kentlands/Lakelands 5K Run, Walk, and Kid’s Fun Runs, which take place on Saturday, August 30th starting at 8am. This flagship event, serving as the Kentlands Community Foundation’s largest fundraiser, is set to draw over 1,300 participants and an impressive 4,000 attendees to the area, making it Montgomery County’s largest 5K road race.
Poolesville Day is set to bring joy and entertainment to Montgomery County on September 20, 2025, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Whalen Commons. This annual one-day, free event has been a cherished tradition for over 25 years, showcasing community spirit and providing a day of fun for all ages.
The public is invited to attend the BiteMe Charity Festal, a special event presented by IVEA in support of the Maryland Food Bank. This free-admission festival promises a day of cultural celebration and community giving, with all profits dedicated to fighting hunger.

Leading the procession as Grand Marshal will be John Bauer, who serves as the Chair of the Gaithersburg Planning Commission and has been named the 2025 Distinguished Resident.
