This past March we let you know that DICK’S Sporting Goods at 2 Grand Corner in Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront is transforming into a DICK’S House of Sport– a concept designed to deliver a completely immersive experience for shoppers. The store is now aiming for a January 2026 completion date (progress photos available below).

Yesterday we reported that the Staples store at 20906 Frederick Road STE A is preparing for its permanent closure. A store manager has confirmed the office supply retailer will officially close its doors for the final time on Thursday, August 29th. However, the storefront won’t be vacant for long. Dollar Tree has secured the necessary permit to begin work on the space.
Jimmy’s Famous Seafood (6526 Holabird Ave) in Baltimore will host “Tables, Ladders, and Crabs” on Thursday, August 14, featuring TNA Wrestling stars Matt and Jeff Hardy, to benefit the animal welfare nonprofit Show Your Soft Side. (more…)
Montgomery County’s first Buffalo Wild Wings Go (BWW Go) is set to open its doors in Gaithersburg, bringing a new and streamlined way to enjoy the popular brand’s wings.
