Federal Realty has announced that Sprout will open its first location in the DMV at Bethesda Row in Bethesda, MD, in summer 2025.
BGR, which stands for “Burgers Grilled Right,” has closed its Germantown location at 20940-B Frederick Rd in the Neelsville Village Center. The location has been removed from the BGR website and is listed as permanently closed on Google. The last remaining BGR in Maryland is at 6250 Columbia Crossing Circle, Suite D in Columbia.
Chick Fil A, located at 825 Ellsworth Dr Lot D1-A in Downtown Silver Spring, will temporarily close today (January 28th) for renovations. An employee confirmed the temporary closure and stated that the store will likely reopen in May.
Yesterday we reported that Montgomery County’s last remaining Jerry’s Subs & Pizza (8517 Colesville Rd. Silver Spring, MD) will close permanently on Friday, January 31st, based on two phone call conversations with the store. Today, several readers have shared they tried making one last trip and the restaurant was already closed. One reader stated he spoke with employees who were inside and was told the restaurant closed earlier than expected. Phone calls made to Jerry’s were not answered Tuesday afternoon.
