Relax The Back will be opening its first DMV location at 1701 Rockville Pike A5 in the Shops at Congressional shopping center. It will be taking over the spot that was previously home to a similar business — the Healthy Back store, which shut down its website/operations in September 2023.
Kara Hibachi & Sushi, which opened in the Potomac Valley Shopping Center across from Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg in 2020, has closed. A representative from the restaurant has told us that a new restaurant will be taking its place within a couple of weeks.
Last September we let you know that Texas-based Torchy’s Tacos is coming to 12266 Rockville Pike in Federal Plaza, taking over part of the space that was recently home to Chuy’s and previously home to Ruby Tuesday. Some progress has been made and Torchy’s hopes to open later this year.
