The Montgomery County Department of Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that resulted in the death of 87-year-old Vipa Sankanung of Rockville.

Join Kaiser Permanente for Healthy at the Harbor, a free community health and wellness event taking place Saturday, June 6, from 11 am to 4 pm at National Harbor in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Montgomery County has paused enforcement of sidewalk snow-clearing requirements until Monday, February 2, after sustained freezing temperatures left many sidewalks icy and difficult to clear.
Excavation is underway to access a damaged section of the Potomac Interceptor, a major sewer line that collapsed January 19 along Clara Barton Parkway near the I-495 interchange and the C & O Canal National Historical Park in Montgomery County.
