CBS’s hit sitcom Ghosts has solidified its place as one of America’s favorite shows, ranking as the 16th most-watched program in the 2024-25 Nielsen ratings with 12.1 million viewers. It was also the 11th most watched network series. While the national success is impressive, the series carries an especially meaningful connection for Montgomery County, as two of its stars are graduates of Rockville’s Thomas S. Wootton High School.
Quince Orchard Marketplace, a prominent grocery-anchored (Safeway) shopping center in Gaithersburg, is now being marketed for sale by CBRE. It has been available since September 4th by CBRE, but a sale price has not been released.

Last week, the company celebrated a significant expansion of its manufacturing operations in Clarksburg, Maryland.
Over the past year, TDSI also doubled its manufacturing floor footprint through a $4 million investment, expanding production capacity to support the company’s continued growth.
Today, TDSI employs approximately 675 people in Montgomery County, including roughly 250 manufacturing employees.
As demand for its technologies continues to grow, the company continues to expand and has added more than 225 positions locally over the past three years.

Bethesda’s biggest food festival is returning this fall, and with it come several road closures to accommodate the thousands of attendees expected in Woodmont Triangle. The 33rd annual Taste of Bethesda will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and drivers should plan ahead as key streets in downtown Bethesda will be blocked to traffic.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating 18-year-old Joshua Carter and 25-year-old Justin Michael Greene Collins of Silver Spring, who are wanted in connection with the September 21 homicide of Akwalabeng Fontava and the kidnapping of two victims. The Montgomery County Council unanimously approved Zoning Text Amendment 25-09, introduced by Councilmember Natali Fani-González, to allow alkaline hydrolysis, also known as water cremation as a funeral option in the county, aligning local zoning with state law and industry standards.
At a press conference in Wheaton, Montgomery County and state leaders announced that two new speed enforcement laws will take effect October 1, introducing higher fines for drivers traveling 16 miles per hour or more above the speed limit and allowing automated cameras on high-crash roadways.
