A Freeze Warning is in effect across parts of Maryland, including all of Montgomery County, from midnight tonight through 9am Wednesday, with temperatures expected to drop as low as 27°. Another round of freezing temperatures is possible late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

MDLottery

Maryland’s six casinos generated a combined $168,088,833 in revenue from slot machines and table games in March 2026, marking a decrease of $4.0 million, or 2.3 percent, compared to March 2025. Casino contributions to the state totaled $72,359,944, down 2.9 percent year over year, including $52,185,387 allocated to the Education Trust Fund, which also declined by 2.9 percent.

MoCo Government

The Montgomery County Council will meet on Tuesday, April 7 starting at 9 am with proclamations recognizing Fair Housing Month, National Public Health Week, Minority Health Month, and Arab American Heritage Month, followed by a legislative session where members are expected to vote on several bills addressing invasive plants, minimum wage reporting requirements, agricultural building exemptions, and updates to the Arts and Humanities Council .
