Downtown Silver Spring

Commas Food Hall, a new 13,000-square-foot culinary destination on the third level of Ellsworth Place (8661 Colesville Rd) in Downtown Silver Spring, is set to open later this spring or in the early summer. Among its diverse offerings is Claude Have Mercy, a restaurant celebrated for putting a unique seafood twist on beloved dishes.

In the past we’ve shared information regarding various scams in local Facebook groups, including mobile car detailing and duct cleaning scams, imposter tattoo artist, and event ticket scams. Local Facebook group administrators have recently reported two scams: nostalgic shirts and fabricated stories behind a young entrepreneur’s new business venture.

Business

Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center has been awarded and recently accepted the Silver Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. This national recognition honors the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for its dedication to outstanding patient care, teamwork, and nursing excellence.
