Takoma Park Police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on April 22 at approximately 12:28 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a stabbing on the 6900 block of New Hampshire Avenue, near the Sunoco gas station.

The Washington Commanders drafted Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly, Jr. in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft—a move that few predicted but one that has been warmly received by reporters and fans alike. One ardent supporter of this decision is offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who left a note for general manager Adam Peters earlier this week. The City of Gaithersburg held a joint public hearing on April 21, 2025 for a Gateway Lakeforest– a plan that proposes to redevelop 481 N Frederick Ave and 101 Lakeforest Blvd with a new 8-story multi-family residential building with up to 410 units and a ground floor commercial use.
