A warm start to Tuesday may make you question the potential ice event that’s headed our way late Wednesday into Thursday, but temperatures are expected to drop as we head into tomorrow with the National Weather Service (NWS) increasing the totals on its latest ‘Expected Ice Accumulation’ map.

In October, Buy Buy Baby announced that it will be closing all existing stores and transforming into a digital-first brand “focusing all our energy on providing an exceptional online shopping experience.” As the last of the remaining stores set to close, the Buy Buy Baby brand has been purchased by the owner of Bed Bath & Beyond. The first Buy Buy Baby store opened in Rockville, MD in  1996.

Crime

A Montgomery County judge sentenced Keith Delcid-Palacios to 45 years in prison for the 2021 shooting death of Martin Nolan and the attempted shooting of another victim in a Silver Spring school parking lot, while his brother, Jeffery Delcid-Palacios, received a 36-day sentence for obstruction of justice. Crime

Two employees of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) were charged in connection with making an unauthorized copy of Airports Authority records that appeared to be surveillance video from the airport showing the American Airlines jet colliding with an Army helicopter last week.

Beyond MoCo

Back in October, Baltimore Police arrested 24-year-old John Callis of Baltimore following the brutal assault that was captured in a viral video of the man assaulting two Washington Commanders fans following this past season’s Ravens/Commanders game. The man was arrested, and today he was sentenced.

North Bethesda
