The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has initiated a comprehensive road repair project on Democracy Boulevard, stretching from I-270 to Seven Locks Road. The project, aimed at improving infrastructure for residents and motorists, will be executed in two phases and is expected to take approximately 10 to 12 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Businessman, philanthropist, and former County Executive candidate David Blair has endorsed Andrew Friedson for Montgomery County Executive. The campaign for Montgomery County Councilmember Andrew Friedson announced today that Blair, who narrowly lost the Democratic nomination in 2018 by 77 votes and again in 2022 by 32 votes– both times to the current County Executive Marc Elrich– has thrown his support behind Friedson.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is conducting an online survey and virtual meeting series to gather public feedback to help update the agency’s Vulnerable Road User (VRU) Assessment to improve safety for vulnerable road users– defined as those walking, cycling or rolling.

The future of the Commanders stadium at the RFK site in Washington, DC, is currently in the hands of the DC Council, and they’re not in a hurry.
