A collision involving several vehicles, including a van that rolled over, occurred Wednesday afternoon around 1pm at E Gude Dr and Calhoun Drive in Derwood. According to Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services Pete Piringer, two human occupants were trapped and were extricated, however a dog (pit bull) passenger was ejected and ran away and is currently missing. A total of four patients, including two with Priority 2 traumas, were transported to the hospital, while several others refused.
Some lanes are currently blocked on E. Gude Dr. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route and expect significant delays. We will post more information as it becomes available. Was so sad , I was there and the doggie leaped out crying and terrified. I tried to help one person in van but car blocked.
