Per the Maryland Lottery:
Montgomery County man and his family heading for new house after $50,000 Powerball prize
A truck driver from Gaithersburg man who made a quick stop to buy milk ended up with a little something extra: a Powerball ticket worth $50,000. Now he and his family are looking for a new house to call their “forever home!”
Those numbers turned out to be lucky. But he didn’t find out how lucky until he checked the ticket the next day. The father of three called his wife and told her, adding that she was so happy she started crying. He even sent her a video of the Lottery terminal message that was displayed when he scanned the ticket, indicating that it was a big winner. “JR Munoz” said he and his family are now getting ready to move into their forever home.
The Powerball jackpot rolled to an annuity value of $206.9 million before being hit in the Aug. 3 drawing on a ticket sold in Pennsylvania.
