Montgomery County will host the 10th annual GreenFest on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Marian Fryer Plaza in Wheaton. The event will feature exhibits on environmental topics, electric vehicles, live music, family activities, and a household battery recycling drop-off, along with recognition of local individuals and organizations for their sustainability efforts. Germantown

On Wednesday at Seneca Valley High School, a reported sighting of what appeared to be a gun triggered an immediate response, according to a letter sent out to the school community. The incident began when a student observed another student with what was initially believed to be a firearm. In response, a Shelter-in-Place was initiated at 12:42 pm on Wednesday.
