Jamie McIntyre, former CNN military affairs and senior Pentagon correspondent, as well as former Washington Examiner senior writer for defense and national security, will speak about how the events on 9/11 and the aftermath ushered in a “post-truth” era in America. Jamie has written extensively on this topic and draws from a life-long career in journalism, including his time at the Pentagon on 9/11.

This festival highlights local artisans including wood creations, pottery, visual art, household products and so much more. Crime

The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) announced the arrest of three suspects linked to an organized retail theft operation targeting Ulta stores across multiple jurisdictions, including Montgomery County, with over $190,000 in reported losses. The arrests, made in Anne Arundel County on March 24, followed a months-long investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, leading to charges of armed robbery, grand larceny, and other offenses. MCDOT

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public hearing on April 15 at 1 p.m. to discuss the potential removal of 14 parking spaces in Silver Spring’s Columbia Boulevard Public Parking Lot for the installation of four public electric vehicle charging stations in partnership with a private developer. Church’s Texas Chicken (formerly Church’s Chicken) is coming soon to 7722 Harford Rd. in Parkville, MD, according to a report by Randy Lerman. The new location will replace the former family-owned Greek restaurant, Pita Pan, marking the first Church’s Chicken in Maryland.
