Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigation Unit have arrested and charged 44-year-old Brandi Shoemaker, of Silver Spring, for multiple package thefts in the Silver Spring area.
Between December 2022 and January 2023, detectives were investigating multiple reports of package thefts that occurred in the 2000 block of Longmead Crossing Dr.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Shoemaker as the suspect. On Thursday, January 26, 2023, Shoemaker was arrested on a traffic stop. A search warrant was executed at Shoemaker’s residence and items from the stolen packages were recovered.
Shoemaker was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where she was charged with multiple counts of felony theft. Shoemaker was released on a $10,000 unsecured personal bond.
