Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are investigating an attempted burglary that occurred on Friday, December 25, 2022, at the Shomrai Emunah Preschool in the 800 block of University Boulevard West in Silver Spring. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the adult male suspect and his vehicle, and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them
On Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at approximately 2:42 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the location for the report of an attempted burglary. Detectives determined that on Friday, December 25, 2022, at approximately 8:12 p.m., the suspect arrived at the preschool in a silver Acura Sedan, attempted to force entry and left the scene in the Acura.
Detectives reviewed the surveillance cameras at the preschool and obtained a description of the suspect. The suspect is described as an adult male, average height, average build, with short black hair, wearing a white face mask, a black jacket, a black shirt, black jeans and black/white shoes.
