Cinnaholic, the popular gourmet vegan cinnamon roll bakery, has closed its only Montgomery County location. The shop, located at 230 Crown Park Avenue in Gaithersburg’s Downtown Crown neighborhood, is listed as permanently closed on Google and no longer included on the Cinnaholic website.

The highly anticipated new full-service Thai restaurant, Ah’haan by Bangkok Garden, is officially opening its doors in Gaithersburg today (Sunday, August 17th). The restaurant is located at 237 Kentlands Blvd., in the space formerly occupied by Good Fortune Cafe.

Chipotle is set to open a new location in the Walnut Hill Shopping Center in Gaithersburg, behind the Bank of America. The addition comes as part of the center’s ongoing redevelopment, which has included the opening of ALDI last July and the completion of a large mural by Baltimore street artist Nether.
Update: In a press release, Sixty Vines incorrectly listed the upcoming location as 231 Rio Boulevard. The restaurant is scheduled to open at 212 Ellington Blvd in Downtown Crown.

This past March we let you know that DICK’S Sporting Goods at 2 Grand Corner in Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront is transforming into a DICK’S House of Sport– a concept designed to deliver a completely immersive experience for shoppers. The store is now aiming for a January 2026 completion date (progress photos available below).
