Sherwood boys basketball coach Tom Sheahin announced his retirement after 34 years in the game. Last season, he helped lead the Warriors to a 25-2 record and an appearance in the Maryland State Championship game.
Earlier this week, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson shared that TCU linebacker Johnny Hodges was invited to the Los Angeles Chargers rookie minicamp. Hodges is a Montgomery County native from Darnestown who graduated from Quince Orchard High School in 2019.
The Walter Johnson High School Athletic Department has announced that Chase Rieder will serve as the new head coach of the boys varsity basketball team.
