The winners have been announced for the Montgomery County Commission for Women’s eighth annual Girl Power Contest, which celebrates Women’s History Month. MoCo Government

The Montgomery County Community Action Board celebrated the graduation of 27 residents from its Community Advocacy Institute (CAI) on May 20, the largest class in the program’s nine-year history. The free, bilingual program provides advocacy training for residents with low to moderate incomes and has graduated 167 participants since its launch in 2016. (more…)

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) announced that due to the City of Rockville’s Memorial Day celebrations, Ride On bus routes 45, 46, 55, and T2 will be detoured from Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26 at 3 p.m., with specific changes to stops and routing available online. In October, we reported that Zaxbys was entering the Maryland market with three locations along the Eastern Shore. Now, Zaxbys is planning to open four additional restaurants across Baltimore and Howard counties. Zaxbys menu includes fried chicken sandwiches, wings, chicken fingers known as “Zingers,” crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast.
