Dan and Tanya Snyder Have Left $48 Million Home on the Potomac That They Bought Two Years Ago, Per Report

With their Montgomery County house currently for sale for what would be a DMV record breaking $49 million (if it sold for the asking price), the Washington Business Journal has reported that Dan and Tanya Snyder have moved out of their River View home, which is located on the other side of the Potomac in Alexandria, and currently holds the record for most expensive home sold in the DMV at $48 million.

In November 2021, we reported that the $48 million sale of River View (7979 E. Boulevard Drive in Alexandria, VA)– a 16,000 square foot home with an additional carriage home that set a new record for the most expensive home sale in DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) history. The house was bought by the Snyders, and less than two years later it appears that it may become/be available again. River View “has not yet been relisted, and it is unclear whether the 16.5-acre palatial property at 7979 E. Boulevard Drive is being offered privately”, per the report.

The Snyder’s Montgomery County home listing is still active and available to browse on any real estate website. It is being listed by listed by Heather Corey and Michael Rankin of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty and has been on the market for 118 days. The home, located at 11900 River Rd., has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms spread across 30,000 SF. The French-style single family home sits on a lot size of just over 9.6 acres and is located in Potomac. It comes at a price of $1,633 per square foot, with an annual tax $192,631 (over $75k more than the $117,345 median household income in Montgomery County).
