Olney

After years of anticipation, the Olney Ale House will officially reopen its doors on Tuesday, October 28th. The beloved restaurant, located at 2000 Olney Sandy Spring Road (at the corner of Route 108 and Doctor Bird Road), has been closed since a 2019 kitchen fire forced it to shut down.

Roberto Clemente Middle School (RCMS) in Germantown hosted its first-ever Fiesta Latina on Tuesday, October 8th, and by all accounts, the event was a huge success. The all-day celebration brought together students, staff, and community members to honor Hispanic Heritage Month with music, learning, and schoolwide excitement.

Brown joined a coalition of 20 attorneys general in filing a multistate amicus brief supporting The Stanford Daily in its lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s “Ideological Deportation Policy,” which the coalition argues unlawfully targets noncitizens for their political speech and violates First Amendment protections.
