Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection will host a free paper shredding and recycling event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Montgomery College Rockville, offering residents a secure way to dispose of sensitive documents.
Blackbird Health has expanded into Maryland with a new pediatric mental health clinic in Gaithersburg, bringing additional behavioral health resources to children, teens, young adults, and families throughout Montgomery County.
Located at 555 Quince Orchard Road, Suite 250, the clinic offers comprehensive pediatric mental health services, including ADHD and autism evaluations, neuropsychological testing, therapy, psychiatry, and medication management.

Washington DC’s dining scene earned national recognition this week as Dōgon, the Afro-Caribbean restaurant led by acclaimed chef Kwame Onwuachi, was named the #1 restaurant on Yelp’s “Best New Restaurants of 2025” list.
Lakeforest Mall officially closed on March 31, 2023, after nearly 45 years in Gaithersburg, and now longtime residents have a chance to bring home a piece of its history. The mall’s outdoor signs are currently up for auction through Capital Online Auctions, with local pickup required. The listing encourages bidders to “own a piece of Gaithersburg history,” noting that multiple outdoor Lakeforest signs are being liquidated.

The Quince Diamond Executive Center, a six-story office building located at 555 Quince Orchard Road in Gaithersburg, has sold for $7.56 million in an online auction, according to Maryland Newsletters.
