The Montgomery County Police Summer Traffic Task Force has conducted over 200 traffic stops and made 33 DUI arrests since launching on May 21, 2025. This joint initiative with partner agencies runs through the end of July and focuses on timeframes historically associated with increased impaired driving, including prom season, graduations, and summer holidays. Maryland

Maryland’s six casinos generated $176.4 million in gaming revenue in May 2025, a 1.9% increase from the same month last year, marking the state’s seventh-best month on record. Casino contributions to the state totaled $76.1 million, including $54.9 million for the Education Trust Fund, with most individual casinos reporting year-over-year gains.

Join Us for StoryBox Comics Fair, a two-day festival celebrating local and independent comics authors!

Day 1 – Saturday, June 27th, 11-5pm @ DwightMess compound (805 Silver Spring Ave): Events are open to the public, admission is FREE.
