A federal grand jury indicted Erik Lee Madison of Halethorpe, MD on charges including sexual exploitation of a child, coercion and enticement of a child, and cyberstalking, following his arrest earlier this month.

According to court documents, Madison is accused of targeting minors while associated with an online extremist group, with potential federal prison sentences ranging from 10 years to life if convicted.


Rockville

WGTS 91.9, in partnership with Convoy of Hope, will distribute free family care packs on Saturday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Rockville headquarters to support households facing food insecurity following the recent government shutdown. Second-year MCPS Construction Trades Foundation students visited the Associated Builders and Contractors Metro-Washington training center for an immersive look at construction apprenticeship opportunities. According to the release, the partnership allows students to earn industry-recognized credentials, meet hiring employers, and explore pathways that continue into post-secondary apprenticeships. Crime

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating two separate incidents that occurred in Fairland on Wednesday, November 19: a non-life-threatening shooting of an adult male who reported being shot near Aston Manor Drive, and a homicide in which 20-year-old Jadyn Mekhi Brown was found dead with gunshot wounds nearby.
