The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) reports ridership on the Great Seneca Transit Network has doubled to more than 1,000 daily riders since its launch in September 2024, as the express “Pink” and “Lime” bus routes mark their one-year anniversary. Governor Wes Moore, alongside legislative leaders, announced $200 million in direct rebates to help Maryland families offset rising energy costs, with payments distributed in late 2025 and early 2026. The rebates, part of the Next Generation Energy Act, will provide between $30 and $67 per household depending on utility and usage, while also supporting broader efforts to lower energy costs, reduce emissions, and expand nuclear energy development.
