WSSC has sent communication of a traffic alert in Silver Spring with all southbound lanes on Colesville Rd closed between Southwood Ave and Lorain Ave in Sunday morning.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a fire in the bedroom of a single-family home on the 10800 block of Childs St. in the Burnt Mills neighborhood in Silver Spring at approximately 9:15am Sunday morning.
Update: The repairs have been made and the road is now open.
A water main break keeps Knowles Ave closed between Garrett Park and Kensington on Sunday. WSSC crews worked throughout the night and have significant work to do to repair roadway.
