A fatal crash involving a motorcycle has shut down a portion of Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase Tuesday morning.
A Tuesday morning traffic disruption on East Gude Drive was caused by a fire at a nearby scrap facility, according to officials.
A Freeze Warning is in effect across parts of Maryland, including all of Montgomery County, from midnight tonight through 9am Wednesday, with temperatures expected to drop as low as 27°. Another round of freezing temperatures is possible late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Maryland’s six casinos generated a combined $168,088,833 in revenue from slot machines and table games in March 2026, marking a decrease of $4.0 million, or 2.3 percent, compared to March 2025. According to Montgomery County Police, 2nd District officers were dispatched at approximately 6:14am on Tuesday to the intersection of Manor Road and Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase for a reported collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
