An Extreme Cold Alert has been issued for Montgomery County, Maryland from Friday, 2/13 at 9pm until Saturday, 2/14 at 9am, due to wind chill values expected to fall below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Gaithersburg

WRS, Inc. has confirmed to The MoCoShow that the first three retail tenants have officially signed on for the Lakeforest Redevelopment in Gaithersburg. The initial lineup includes a roughly 140,000SF Home Depot (located between the existing Germantown and Shady Grove locations), a 23,000SF Sprouts grocery store (the county’s second), and a smaller “boutique” 15,000SF Landmark Theatre (also the county’s second), as first reported by Maryland Newsletters.

The Triumph Trek at the Rio is the ultimate celebration of strength, recovery and hope — and everyone is invited.

On Sunday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation and Adventist HealthCare Home Care Services will gather at Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg for an untimed walk-or-wheel around the accessible lakeside path. This is not a race. Scooters, wheelchairs, walkers, strollers and every pace are welcome, and no one finishes last.

Beyond MoCo

Culver’s is officially headed to Virginia. Plans are in motion to open the state’s first Culver’s restaurant in Henrico County, marking a notable expansion for the Wisconsin-based fast-casual chain long beloved across the Midwest. The future location will sit at 4306 S Laburnum Avenue, directly across from White Oak Village and near Richmond International Airport (approximately little more than 100 miles south of DC).
